I have two Windows desktops and two Windows laptops. I want for all of their files to stay synced. I would also like to be able to access those files from our Android phones.
Apparently FreeFileSync can do the job with my PCs. My problem seems to be getting started. How do I link the drives? After that it seems pretty simple.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Gary

I would suggest designating one desktop to be the "main" hub, and then each of the other computers should "two-way" sync between that and itself. This does mean a sync has to be run on the other two computers to get everything in sync. With RTS, this can all be done automatically anyway. This, to me, is easier than setting up four shares and four FFS setups that then sync to the other three computers on each.

Use google drive. You can map any folder on your Windows machine to google drive - right click => sync or backup this folder, or just use your local G drive. There's a G drive app for android.

Hi,
I have a similar configuration and what I do is run on windows the Microsoft optional open SSH server feature. You can activate or install open ssh server through the settings app in windows and then you don't have to create any Microsoft Windows shares to access any of the data you simply need to connect over Sftp which can be done easily in FFS and also on your Android phones.
On Android, if it's Samsung, the native File program supports connecting to SFTP servers. It's any other device like a generic clean Android I would try using Cx File Explorer Over SFTP to connect to your Windows computers this way everything is using one protocol and you don't need to activate windows file sharing on any of the computers.
Let us know how it goes.
