Lock files

Hi, is there a way to lock files until I have mirrored everything?
I'm using AutoCAD and open dwg-files locally, but I don't want anyone else to open the mirrored model on the network drive while I'm working?

This doesn't really pertain to FFS, does it? You just don't want someone working on a network copy while you are working on a local copy of the same file(s)?

It could relate to FFS, if there was a function to lock files. I'm going to try FFS for my dwg models (AutoCAD). It is so much faster to work with the files locally, than over a slow server. But I guess I'll have to open an Autocad session, open my files on the server, but don't do anything in this Autocad session (only to lock the files so no one else works with them). Then I open a new AutoCAD session where I run with the local files. Then when I'm done, I close the first AutoCAD session, and run sync.
