On my home PC I can run the Linux installer and select to install only for the current user. On our office computers sudo is not possible for standard users. I would still expect the local user install to work. However, I get the following error after accepting the license:
Accept the FreeFileSync license terms? [y]es, [n]o, or [s]how: [y/n/s] y

Please install "sudo" to run this installer.

Sorry, user [username] may not run sudo on [hostname].
<Press a key>
I think whatever check the installer is doing there should only be done after the user confirmed an all-user install.
