Unable to move "Z:\??????\????????\Desktop\RecycleBin.9f4f.ffs_tmp" to the recycle bin.

Error during "PerformOperations" for item:
"<unknown file>"
HRESULT: 0x8007006f, The file name is too long.

This is a limitation of the Windows Shell, not FreeFileSync.

You can edit the registry to handle long path names, or move the directories into higher levels

...or just use permanent deletion or versioning, both of which don't use Windows Shell functions, and thous have no MAX_PATH limitation.

That is true, but of course understand the risks of permanent deletion. I use it all the time, but I have backups upon backups
