I have been using FreeFileSync for quite a while and it has always worked. I sync everything twice a month.
About 2 months ago, it synced in the wrong direction. Everything on the right moved over to the left and I lost all the files that i had been working on prior to that. I did not change any settings, just ran it like I normally do. I was able to recover most of the files, not sure if I got them all, from the recycle bin. But, it was a pain in the tookus!
Now, I am afraid to use it. Any idea what would cause this behavior? Thanks.

Did you look at the compare results prior to running the actual sync?
If so, were the actions consistent with the action indicators in the compare results?

I didn't. But when I look at it now, I see where I have 9,310 files on the left side and 9,118 files on the right side. Glancing through the files on the right side, I see that there are a lot of the new files that I have added there. I didn't think it was that many new or changed files.
There are also a lot of "blanks" on the right side. I'm not sure what that means. Thanks for the help.
