VerifyCopiedFiles Enabled reseting automatically to false

In the file GlobalSettings.xml I have set up to "true", the following property:
<VerifyCopiedFiles Enabled="true"/>

but after a while upon on checking out GlobalSettings.xml I verify that this porperty has automatically chaged to "false".

Any insight about this behavior?
