Auto Update feature, requirements

Hello,

What is required for the (every 1 week) auto-update feature to kick-off?

For instance, I'll be calling FFS from the task scheduler on login, running a batch profile... but never running FFS manually. Will it still update every week if the feature is checked?

The auto updater (or even only the update check) is not run in batch mode (ffs_batch).

Also wondering the same. I want to upgrade to the donation edition, but would need it to update without user intervention...
