I'm on Windows 10 and regularly (~every 3rd hour) sync the content of my external USB-drive to two remote SFTP servers. There are roughly 1.3 million objects in the filesystem and the comparison usually completes in ~10 minutes:
[17:59:02]Info: Comparison finished: 1 325 104 items found | Time elapsed: 00:06:45
Since updating to FreeFileSync 10.19, something is very very wrong:
[11:51:02]Info: Comparison finished: 309 425 795 items found | Time elapsed: 02:22:41
Exact same filesystem and setup, but all of the sudden FFS thinks it's dealing with 309.4 million objects. The comparison runs for hours.

How do I troubleshoot this?

Bump! I really need help with this. I've renewed my FFS license many many times over the past couple of years and really don't want to have to change my backup and archival system over this issue.

I might have resolved this. One of the servers had run out of space for /var/log and thus showing all kinds of disjointed symptoms, including the inability to properly list the filesystem. I've sorted the logging situation and currently running the the sync from the GUI and it's working fine. I'll report back tomorrow when the normal proper (batch) version of the sync runs.
