Thanks for the suggestion. However, whatever overhead is created by that should be mitigated with the source being an SSD and the destination being Google Drive. The bottleneck would be my bandwidth from my ISP being 30 Mbps, or ...

Syncing with Google Drive not using full bandwidth.
I get roughly 30 Mbps upload speed from my ISP. Typically this can fluctuate between 26-34 Mbps at any given time if I were to upload a single file directly to Google Drive via the web browser, or other 3rd party tools.
