The drives are designed to stack. But constant reading/writing for hours will heat them up.

I have tried not stacking but it makes almost no difference in the drive temp

When i Sync it is normally 8-24 hours to complete with platter hard drives stacked on top of each other. So I have concerns about head buildup. I have an app that monitors smart attributes and when it alarms i come pause the sync but especially when i have to at some point sleep, it would be nice if...
