FreeFileSync Forum

I've given read write access to "everyone" and also ran FFS as administrator. From the same user account login I can copy/modify/create any files across the two computers manually.
I'm probably missing something straightforward, but can't think what.

Anyone there able to help? Might have to revert to SyncToy if I can't resolve this issue!

Trying to run FreeFileSync on a recent Windows 8.1 build.
I can select source and destination folders from both computers.
I can Compare ok, but when I try and Sync, I get the messages:

Cannot set directory lock for "\\Home-win7\d\ABB Documentation\".
Cannot write file "\\Home-win7\d\ABB ...

Forget it, fixed myself by doing more searches. Had to uncheck the NTFS permissions box, now works fine.

I performed the Sync, but after a couple of hours, with the progress window showing progress, I returned to find it had completed with errors ...

Ah, that did the trick, fixed now thank you.

Trying FreeFileSync 5.18 for the first time to replace SyncToy, but get this (repeatable) error message part way through comparing folder pairs. Any thoughts why/how to fix?

Database file is corrupt:
