It looks that in MATE desktop environment there's not any problem. I don't know ..
My Linux Mint is Cinnamon. ;)

It seems very quite similar to "my" issue as described here: "FreeFileSync 11.29: unacceptable TLS certificate in Linux Mint 21.1"

Have you tried to download and install by the "Software Manager"? Just to see if you'll receive exactly the same message.

I don't know, really.
I also change the mirrors into "Software Sources", but the issue is still there.
