Recursing Subdirectories
FFS is a great little program that I have not only recommended to many people but have also installed on many computers. This past weekend, I ran it on my file server to make a backup on a second shared driver on my home network. FFS indicated that there were no files to copy. Here is an example of ...

Re: Error parsing configuration file-HandleSymlin
All I have done is update FFS as I have become aware of the availability of
the update. The ffs_gui files in question are dated 01/03/2011. Is there a way
to convert these old files? One of the filters is pretty involved.
Thanks for the great program!

Date Sync Question
Music files on one drive are synced with the same files on a network drive. For some reason, the same songs on the two drives have different dates. (It's not a FFS-caused problem.) Other than copying the files with the newer date on top of the files with the older date, is there a way to sync the ...

Using FFS to Consolidate Photos
My multiple hard drives have family pictures in multiple folders all over the drives. I would like to copy all photos in whatever folder to a single shared folder on my home server WITHOUT maintaining the folder structure. It is highly unlikely that two different pictures have the same name. The ...

sync.ffs_db
Every time I run a compare, I get the error message below. How do I get it to stop appearing, other than Ignore, which doesn't seem to be the best solution. I assume it is there for a valid reason. Initial synchronization. Please verify default copy-directions! (No database file existing yet: "C ...
