I created a new configuration and that seemed to work as I wanted so I think I am all set.
The only thing different with this one was that I didn't have to empty the trash after it was all done. I usually have to do that. We'll see if if I have to do that next time.

Re: Some files will be synchronized as part of multiple folder pairs. To avoid conflicts, set up exclude filters so that
How about I delete all of the ffs files that may be on the target drive? Would that help? They'd be .ffs (with some having _gui after that) wouldn't they? Are they invisible on a Mac?

Hmm. My setup for another sync is set up the same way and it works. I took the setup from a previous hard drive and just changed the paths since both drives have different names. Otherwise they are the same settings. I could set up a new configuration. I'll try that.

Thanks, that's all Greek to me but I think I will solve the problem by just erasing the target drive, copying everything over and then syncing from then on.

Mac OS 18 updating the app, The operation can't be completed because some items had to be skipped.
Hi,
(I'm on Mac OS 15.2 and vers 14 for the app now.)
For the past two updates but not before that, I have gotten the above error message when I try to replace the newly installed update over the old app. I have this app in a folder within the applications folder so when it gets installed, I drag ...

Yep. The La Cie I am have attached gets backed up as well. And I have a NAS that has backups on it too but they aren't current as it is so slow it isn't worth backing up to.

make some more room on MacBook Air by getting rid of some files
I have a 500 gb MacBook Air that I need to make some room on. I have a La Cie 4 tb drive that is always connected to it. I have been using FreeFileSync weekly to keep it up to date for about a year. (I also use Time Machine on a different drive to do daily backups.) The La Cie also has all of the ...
