I can see that although it is definitely a feature loss. I use a long script to periodically re-image our family computers with as much as possible automated. So, as I say, my workaround will be to be use FFS 12.5 with the /silent switch and then allow AutoUpdate per machine.

Looks like the /silent install feature is no longer available for the Donation Edition! Will this be restored in 13.1?

Otherwise, the only sensible strategy is to keep a safe copy of v12.5 for silent installation purposes over several family PCs and then rely on AutoUpdate thereafter...

No, that's exactly my point, the progress dialog only remembers its size, not its position.

The main FFS window "remembers" its size *and* position, so I agree that the progress dialog should also remember both its size and position.

I launch FreeFileSync with Admin rights from the Total Commander taskbar using nircmd elevate which works well for me. I can't see why TrustedInstaller status should ever be needed for copying regular files around...

Hmm ... if you go to the FFS Home Page and click your "Thank you" button, it shows a message at the bottom of the screen that "FreeFileSync is currently installed on X devices". So, is there a limit to the number of installs and what happens if you reinstall Windows and forget to...

Will this cause activation problems if we re-install Windows without "releasing" FreeFileSync from that laptop?
