Error launching new versions

Beginning with v6.11 I started getting errors. The error ("Error Code 299", see image - http://imgur.com/L4T5QF7 ) may occur randomly. One time I can launch FFS without any problem, while the other time I can not... As a result I always have to return back to working well v6.10. Please che...

Re: FFS v5.22 suddenly started crashing

Thank you for the idea. Testing it this way now :) I've noticed that when I run one folder test and watch Networking tab in Task Manager, it shows steady 3% utilization. When I run the whole synchronization, I'm getting up to 20%, slowly degrading to 15%, 10% etc. Of course it means that less thread...

Re: FFS v5.22 suddenly started crashing

Thanks a lot, Zenju. It's very interesting. In my case I have 11 folder pairs to compare. It means that 22 additional threads are created at Compare time, all working in parallel. And because network is slower now, I start see networked path in status line after a while... It seems logical conclusio...

Re: FFS v5.22 suddenly started crashing

While we've found the problem, I'd like to take the opportunity to ask you a question. I'm observing strange behavior of FFS and can't find an answer why is it. I'm moving (upgrading) form one HD disk to another and from WXP-SP2 (all updates are up to SP3) to WXP-SP3. Both HDs (data drives) are with...

What tool you'd recommend to open and view the file? I'd like to see its content before I send it to you.

You're right. CPU doesn't support SSE2 instructions. Official build v5.22 has fixed that and it was working well until two days ago. And now I'm stuck with new problem. Unfortunately the two new packages have similar problems: debug-no-opt FreeFileSync_Win32.exe [CRC32: C6FCA9D9] Offset: 00005cd0 de...

v5.21 crash

Windows XP SP3, 32bit here. When I try to launch new FFS v5.21, it always crashes with this message: AppName: freefilesync_win32.exe AppVer: 5.21.0.0 ModName: findfileplus_win32.dll ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 000011a3 In this forum I found suggestion to rename "findfileplus_win32.dll" file to...

Optional sync

It'd be nice if we had an option to turn on or off particular folder pair(s) in synchronization session. A check box, next to each pair, would be sufficient to temporary exclude some pair(s) from current processing.

I have a long list of pairs, but not always want to sync all of them...

Compare content of a file

Thank you for some kind words. With regard to the dummy folders (A1 and A2) I guess I was thinking in yesterday's terms. Re: FileTimeTolerance - related

So, if I understand you correctly, in backup volume (using FAT) you want to save time stamps in UTC (and not in local time, as they normally would). And the time is converted by FFS on the local computer using its time zone. Then you can move that backup volume (despite the fact that it's FAT) to an...
