I think I found the source of my confusion: the "Show files that are equal" button at the bottom was not "on."
I'm also seeing that TeraCopy copied the folder for My Music, though no files into that folder. I'm not sure why FFS was listing files for that folder on the C: drive, but it seems ...

There are filters at the bottom of the comparison results. What folder pairs did you set up in FFS? If you set up only a single pair syncing your entire use folder, of course the Music directory will also display

I bought a new external SSD and (not yet knowing about FFS) I backed up 4 disparate folders from my Windows C: drive using TeraCopy. I backed up
C:\USERS\M\DOCUMENTS
C:\USERS\M\PICTURES
C:\USERS\M\DESKTOP
C:\USERS\M\ONEDRIVE
to
E:\DataOnly\(with ...
