Thank you.You don't need to restart FFS, it's sufficient to press the compare button again after any external changes.Zenju

On rebooting this morning I started FreeFileSync and press Synchronize; it did i.e. it matched the left and right panels. I then did another change in Windows Explorer and pressed Synchronize again; no change. So shut down FreeFileSync then reopened. Synchronize now works.

I can see that filters would be the way to go but it looks to me as if I will have to create many filter rules to exclude all but the four folders I want.
Is it possible to create one exclude rule for everything in C:\Users\username plus four include rules for the four folders?
