Slow sync on 256Gb usb - solution

I found extremely slow sync on a new SanDisk 256Gb usb stick. Even creating the .lock files was slow. This replaced a 128Gb stick that had no sync problems. I run FFS 13.4 on Windows 10 at the moment,

This seems to be the same issue that I have - see viewtopic.php?t=4190. I would like to see an option not overwrite the date and time, if possible.

Thanks for responding, Zenju. Yes, it would help if FFS had an option to ignore the setting of modification times. Is that likely to happen any time soon? The real solution, of course, would be for Linux stop changing file modification times when making a simple file copy - one of the many ...

OK, so the only work-around I can think of is to run FFS from both computers and ignore the fails. But feel free to respond .... anyone.
