Ok, following your advice, I succeeded in silencing it and making it automatically close the progress window. Is there a way to prevent its opening while starting up?

I will check for that, but by choosing "close on completion", will the service still run?
and where is this option run silent?
What about the popup window showing the result?
btw, thx for such a nice piece of software, I recommend it to many people I fix computers for.

Correction:
I tried to get it in "autostart" mode via the task scheduler, but it didn't work
So I created a shortcut with the full command and parameter and copied this in the windows startup folder
It autostarts as expected but window pops up with sound upon task completion, which I'd like to avoid ...

I discovered Freefilesync a few months ago and really appreciate. I use it to permanently syncrhonize some folders with an network drive. I reinstalled windows 10 and succeeded in having an automatic startup of the taks, but it makes a sound and open a windows after each succesfull synchro ...
