Re: Do not suspend operations waiting for user input

I should mention that I'm aware of the "ignore errors" option, but I have not been able to test to see if that option simply ignores errors (as it says), or if it still reports them and asks for user input, but allows the job to continue running in the background. I want to resolve any potential ...

Do not suspend operations waiting for user input

I started a fairly large (almost 8 TB) mirror operation before going to bed. It was projected to take about 12 hours, so I wanted it to run overnight. Unfortunately, it looks like about 24 minutes in, it paused because of an error. I clicked "ignore" and it kept going. It should have skipped that ...

Re: Automatic Sync and Open Command Window

OP mentioned command lines and batch files, so it sounds like perhaps one of the threads he found has instructions to do it that way.

Re: Filter out directories from comparison (not from synchronizing)

Yep, just did some testing on my side. Excluded directories in the filter section aren't scanned even at the comparison stage. Must be a typo in OP's filter.

Re: Automatic Sync and Open Command Window

Yes, the console windows will appear by default when a command is being run. You can minimize the windows to get them out of the way, but if you close them any programs running in them (like RealTimeSync) will also be terminated. The FFS manual does mention a way to prevent the console window from ...

Re: sub folder files not added.

Does this happen with every folder you tested with, or only those in Documents?

Re: Pre-Sync Prep to save bandwidth

This should just automatically work, I would think? Assuming you mirror over the contents of the expensive datacenter server to the cheap datacenter server correctly, when FFS runs afterwards, it should detect only files changed since the bulk copy. In any case, you should manually run the ...

Re: Curle_Operation_Timedout when syncing 88MB File to FTP

Have you tried manually FTPing the file over to the same server and directory? It might not be an issue with FFS.

How to only update newer or larger files?

I have a fairly simple situation where I need to update a target folder with only certain items from the source folder. In my specific case, the source folder contains a bunch of recovered files from a failing hard drive. The target folder has about 95% of the files, while the source folder has ...

Re: Filter out directories from comparison (not from synchronizing)

Unfortunately, it looks like the filter step only occurs after the comparison step. It would be nice to have an exclusion list for the comparison list too. Like saying "Compare drive A with drive B, except for directories with the string 'IGNORE' in the name".

New user here!

Hello, all! New FFS user here. Only discovered it today but I've kicked in $10 already since it's been so impressive. My background is in UNIX systems administration, so I still use rsync (even on Windows, under cygwin) to update my backups. At least until now. :)

Is there a bug tracker and feature ...
