I have a folder structure, where I only need to analyze and backup files from the first layers of subfolders.
like /basefolder/subfolder
I would like FFS to avoid going deeper into the folder structure, is that possible?

I'm actually seeing the same problem. Also ftp compared to Filezilla. I thought maybe ffs was faulty on that part, so I tried winscp instead, only to see same result as ffs. Don't know what makes fiæezilla better, but it really seems like it is. Zenju mention failsafe file copy, could that be someth...
