Is there a way to make the "compressed" attribute to be synced?
Like that the files in the copy (if NTFS) is compressed too?

I can't get mirror to work anymore. A file has changed on the PC but still is not on the list to be copied even if I have the setup as before (left newer -> copy to right). But still does not show up if the left is newver (have checked the date and time). To me the new version doesn't work and I can...

When I backup many files to an USB stick the speed falls to 0 when the USB stick gets hot.
Must use pause for a while and then restart (and then the speed is OK for a while).
Is there a way to do this automaticly? Take a minute pause each 5 minutes or so?
If not, is this an idea for a new feature?

There are so many new icons on the info bar that it don't foit together with the "Compare/Sync" bar.
Is there a way to make them smaller (hide icons, smaller text etc)

Of course I have that as well. I do a full image of my drives.
But I like to do file backups as well. And FreeFileSync is great.
But then it's sad that some files in some folders cannot be copied
(and it's strange where those files can be, can be in your roaming profile for an app).

I use FreeFileSync to backup system settings/files as well.
And some files cannot be copied using regular "Administrator mode".
This is meant as an option of course. Not as standard settings.

Possible it is. As "Advance Run" does it. And any program that run as "Administrator" can.
Of course this can only be done if the programs is run as an "Administrator".
And then you will get a warning about that before running the program.

Could we add an option to run copying as "TrustedInstaller".
This is required to copy protected files.
I use "Advanced Run" to run FreeFileSync as TrustedInstaller and this works.
But it would be even easier if you could choss this inside FreeFileSync.

I have lots of pictures only beeing named by date and time (yyyymmdd-hhmmss.jpg). To make finding thing easier I concider renaming them (yyyymmdd-hhmmss Description.jpg). Will FreeFileSync understand this and just rename the file on the "other end"? Or will it delete the file and copy the ...

They where subfolder of a folder path synced. Could this be due to filters. The inlude filters only include (*.mp3, *.m3u, *.m4a, *.wpl, *.jpg and *.png) but subfolders are still processed. Strange thing is that I have other "settings" (for backup to other devices) where this is NOT happen...

tried to copy back old settings files. But layout still resets at first start :-(

I have now backed up the settings in the roaming profile in case it happends again
(I found a files that was not corrupted on a older backup). Strange that both files where affected.
My drive is a Samsung SSD, and no other problemes detected (all SMART data says all OK).

If an USB stick is almost full you can't copy a huge file even if it is almost equal to previous version. Seems like FreeFileSync copies the new version before deleting the old one (if I delete the old version manually then I can sync and store the new version). Is there (or should it be) an option ...

When a USB stick is almost full things are really slow.
And it also seems like space is reserved for something.
I'd really like an option that would do ALL deletes before copying new files.
To free up most space before starting copying new files (or updated files).

File copying from PC to Android works OK. But when I rerun the file compare almost all files come up again. The date used on the PC is last modified time. Happended with all the folders I renamed.
Files inside where deleted but not the folder.
No problem deleting the folder from Windows Explorer.
