Success! Sync has completed without timestamp issues.
So the solution lies in one of the three options above..
Note: I made the mapped drives to the usb disks AFTER the trouble began, so I don't know if this was a factor to begin with.
Thanks for watching people. Hope someone can benefit from ...

Re: Time stamp issues when syncing to NTFS external drive
Things I have done so far:
1) Deleted the session.gui and made a new one
2) Before the NAS-crash I had made users on the NAS for every Win-10 machine, so no additional login via a seperate credential (admin of NAS in this case) was necessary. After the crash I hadn't done that yet.

Re: Time stamp issues when syncing to NTFS external drive
It looks a lot like this issue: https://freefilesync.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1701
It started after my synology crashed and I had to install a new disk. I had to shut the NAS off and reconnected the USB disk again later. Does anyone have a fix? I'm going to sync now in small increments to see if ...

Re: FFS resets copy stamp after switching sync session
It’s not DSM. I just test-synced a 2,5 gig file to the internal synology disk. No problem. Perhaps it’s the usb disk or the fact that it is a usb disk. Filesystem is ntfs. Keep you posted.

Re: FFS resets copy stamp after switching sync session
Ignore my last two posts. The dates are changed to copy time, no matter what you do. It just takes a while.
Perhaps it is the DSM of the synology it's synced to.

Re: FFS resets copy stamp after switching sync session
During the transfer the timestamps are copied just fine. But under some circumstances the date is reset to the copy time. Something in FFS copies the copytime to the creation time tables

Re: FFS resets copy stamp after switching sync session
I just found out, this only happens to files that have one time or other have been (permanently) deleted by FFS.
Any thoughts on this? Does FFS do anything with this info?
