1) Hard to say what's causing the delay. Maybe a Process Monitor log ( https://technet.microsoft.com/de-de/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx ) could give some insights.
2) How can files with "identical" content have different sizes? Or is this a typo and you mean "folders"? In this case, FFS is just the ...
