Does your PDF in the cloud contain an "Illegal" character in Windows? If so, you have to rename it

Re: Not enough free disk space - really strange variant
It's not disingenuous at all. Being able to drive a car carries its own responsibilities and general knowledge just as well. You don't have to be a mechanic to be expected to know when your car is out of gas and how to fill it up. Space management is a basic skill to have when working with computers ...

Re: Not enough free disk space - really strange variant
I mean, it kinda did by saying there wasn't enough free space. Also, that is a task that should be done by whatever/whoever manages storage devices. In this case, you'd be able to see the drive was full using File Explorer as well. FFS isn't a storage management solution, and it's best for software ...

Re: realtimesync startup on two PCs
And yes, at least that is how I am configuring my multiple RTS sessions across multiple computers. You could also probably put shortcuts to the configs into the startup folder, so you only have to update one configuration without having to copy/overwrite a second one

You don't want to open RTS on startup, you want to open a .ffs_real configuration with RTS on startup

FFS/RTS don't wake the computer up, they lack the ability to do so. This would have to be done via Task Scheduler or another method

"Actions -> Show log" shows you the log of the current sync. To view the most recent log for a sync, click the icon in the "Log" column for the corresponding sync config.

You want to compare content for just the changes, which requires a full content comparison to know what changed, which means this isn't possible.

Re: transfer problem in Mac from external old hdd to new external sdd
Try ignoring errors for this sync. You could disable the 'lock' files by modifying the FFS XML file, but that's more difficult than ignoring these errors if it gives you the option

Re: Data Scrubbing (Feature Request)
You are talking about two different things. Reading/writing every byte on the disk is referred to as a "refresh". This functionality is best done at a hardware level, not a file-system level. Spinrite was and is still a fairly popular choice for this, but access is lost during this since it runs at ...

That is already the current behavior. The stop button is more of a 'request' to stop. Any active transfers will finish first
