Re: Detect moved files doesn't seem to work?

I had exactly the same problem... https://freefilesync.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6608&p=21869&hilit=feature+request#p21869 This is now working perfectly as a scheduled RealTimeSync.exe task. In a nutshell, you have to monitor the folders one level up from any folders that will be involved in...

Re: Feature request

Thanks Zenju (and Plerry). I'd forgotten all about include filters. Real time moves between all the required folders is now working exactly as I'd hoped, resulting in server-side moves rather than new uploads. Great stuff. Thanks.

Feature request: detect move between folder pairs

Hopefully this isn't a duplicate of an existing request; apologies if it is. It's also possible FFS already does this but I've got it configured incorrectly. I'm happy to be pointed in the right direction if that's the case. In a nutshell, I'd like to be able to move files between all monitored fold...

Thanks Zenju. I'll reset those options back to the defaults.

Minor reporting issues

I've noticed, particularly with multi-threaded jobs, that the reported info about which file is being processed, the number of files processed so far and, by extension, the number of files remaining, either isn't correct or at the least appears to be misleading. Here's one such example from a job wh...

Re: REQUEST: Dark Theme for Windows 10

As an addendum, here's an export of my current HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Colors However, I cannot by any means guarantee that simply applying these colour values will immediately make your setup look like mine. As I said above, it was a trial-and-error process, a bit like trying to fix the kin...

Re: REQUEST: Dark Theme for Windows 10

No, no source code change. It was a long hard trial-and-error process of customising my entire Windows 10 Pro setup to look like this, which in a very small nutshell was... 1. Put Windows 10 into Dark Mode. 2. Put Windows Explorer into Dark Mode. 2. Experiment with altering the RGB colours in [mostl...

Re: Cannot read directory...Modification time could not be parsed. (1600-12-31T23:59:59.999Z)

That's definitely resolved it. What also threw me at 3am this morning, is that rclone correctly reports those rogue files as having a modified date in the 1600s, whereas the Google Drive web interface shows the 1 Jan 1970 Unix epoch date. This may be their response to (like FFS) also not being able ...

Re: Cannot read directory...Modification time could not be parsed. (1600-12-31T23:59:59.999Z)

Hold your horses !! Isn't that just typical. I took one last look from a different viewpoint using rclone. There were two shortcuts (.lnk) in the root of the B folder that have the 1600 date as the last modified. Goodness knows how they got that date in the first place. I've just deleted them and th...

Cannot read directory...Modification time could not be parsed. (1600-12-31T23:59:59.999Z)

I'm really hoping someone can help me resolve this problem. FFS was working brilliantly for me, but it's now completely unusable. I use it solely to keep my secondary hard drive (B:) and my Google Drive in sync. I also use other software, such as rclone, and DriveSync (on Android) to administer my G...

Re: How to delete old folder name references

This works for me on Windows 10 Pro, although I have to close and reopen the dropdown list after each press of the DEL key; I can't keep the list open and repeatedly select items in the list and press DEL, otherwise all it does is just clear the edit box and leaves the list item intact. However, wit...
