How do you mean this is usually an error? On an OS where these are valid naming schemes, isn't the current behaviour just producing an error?

I'm more used to using other Mac sync/clone tools - e.g. Chronosync, CCC, SuperDuper - but have used FFS on Windows on occasions, and never really thought about us...
