Really? That is quite surprising. I hear the harddisk thrashing a lot. When there are only a few threads (2 or 3) are left then the file count seems to go much faster.

I have a comprehensive backup structure which results in the Compare to start with 15 threads. But, because they are all on 2 drives the compare takes a REALLY long time (disk thrashing). My system becomes unusable when that happens. In fact, the comparison takes much longer than the actual backup ...
