You are right, I've removed the root app /Applications/FreeFileSync/ and now the home app ~/Applications/FreeFileSync/ does not show in the Finder apps, even removing and reinstalling it. Why could this happen? The app only shows in Finder when installed to root.

I've installed "FreeFileSync_13.6_[Donation_Edition].pkg", when launching the app the title shows "11.27".

Fixed. The name of the file (not the full path) was over 256 characters, which is not allowed in ZFS filesystems. After renaming it worked.

To view ini files you have to enable view system files and view known extensions in Folder settings.

Some software like PortableApps use it for settings.
Never heard of that. Nevertheless kind of dump from such a software. It´s for the lookalike and MUI-Setting of the folder not for a software.
They use *.ini files yes, that´s something different. In case you mean that. And are not excluded ...

Oh I see, on my exclude filter it's too. After removing it worked. Had other .ini files which got copied so got me suspicious but turns out they have other name with ini extension. Wonder why desktop.ini is excluded by default anyways... I think Windows relies on that for folder settings or ...
