I'm running the portable installation of FFS ... where can I find the *.dmp files? (I was running the local installation type before, and could find the dmp files under my <user> profile directory).
And, after searching everywhere for the dmp file, I think it's not being written...

No problem, I'll trigger the issue and email you a new dmp file.

Re: [BUG] Completion Script executing before Log File creation
Yes it's a bit of a chicken and egg thing ... which one should exit last? It's ok, I should be able to script around the problem.

Is there a limit on the number of RealTimeSyncs I can run?
I run RealTimeSync as a service under Windows 10 64 bit. I have 7 of these services, each one watching a different pair of folders for any changes and then calling FreeFileSync to sync the folders.
However, whenever I run more than 4 services, the 5th service fails to start and RealTimeSync ...

[BUG] Completion Script executing before Log File creation
Per the title, latest version (11.11) calls the Completion Script *before* FFS writes out the job log file.
If the completion script is meant to process the contents of the log file, obviously it can't because the log file hasn't yet been created at the time that the Completion Script executes ...

Yep I'm on 64-bit. Since the recent reboot, I haven't seen this error occurring again, so tentatively I would that was the solution.

Re: CoInitializeEx
Rebooted my PC last night, so far this error hasn't appeared. Hopefully that's cleared the problem, otherwise I'll run some extensive low level memory tests (although I suspect the memory is fine as nothing else in the PC is reporting any issues).
As a follow up question: is there a way to increase ...

CoInitializeEx
Getting these errors in my FFS logs (multiple FFS batch jobs reporting these errors - jobs have worked successfully for years on this computer).
I have plenty of free memory in the computer.
Has FFS corrupted perhaps?
Error calling "CoInitializeEx".

Re: 11.8 multiple bugs
Ok, so my solution (which works flawlessly!) was to rollback to version 10.18.
I tested 10.25 (which is one of the versions that the developer infamously introduced his HTML logging feature which broke many people's scripts - originally introduced in 10.20) but sure enough, just like 11.18, my ...

11.8 multiple bugs
Latest version 11.8 on Windows 10:
1) RealTimeSync doesn't monitor folders (doesn't notice any changes in the directories) when RTS is run as a service; if launched manually, the RTS job sees directory changes and calls the FFS job;

Re: BUG FIX: log file format
No worries ... just be careful running under a normal user account, it might not always work. That's why I run the service under LocalSystem (which gives the FFS job full administrator rights on the local computer). If I recall correctly, there's a helpful note in the developer's help file that ...

Re: OneDrive Sync
You'd need to use a cloud to cloud service, such as multcloud.com. That's a paid service (unlimited GB transfer is $10 per month, but there's a free tier limited to 30GB per month, so it depends on your needs).

Yeah, good luck getting the developer to fix this. He hasn't replied to any of my emails nor forum postings, nor has he fixed what he has broken.

Re: Feature Request: When finished: Show Log
So, are you trying to run a batch file (to show the FFS log file) after the FFS batch runs?
1) Tasksched -> FreeFileSync.exe "yourScript.ffs_batch"
2) Make sure yourScript.ffs_batch contains a completion job...
eg <PostSyncCommand Condition="Completion">"C:\LogHandler.bat"</PostSyncCommand>

BUG FIX: log file format
As mentioned in other posts, the addition of a log file format as HTML in v10.20 has caused a lot of problems.
The solution, should the developer wish to implement it, is to change the DEFAULT log file format back to Text (which it was prior to v10.20 when HTML was introduced).

Zenju ... I can't set more than one parallel thread because I've downgraded to 10.19 but have now lost the donation edition.
Can you send me the donation version (that I've paid for) please. I sent you an email about this a couple of days ago.
Thanks

10.25 - Can't output TEXT logs - how?
Hi
I have changed the global settings and set the Log File output type to "Text" instead of "HTML". I did this both via editing the settings file directly and via the GUI.
This is on the latest Windows 10.
Even though the settings file is set to "Text", the log file always outputs a *.html file ...
