Dark mode +1

I would absolutely support that; just permanently in dark mode. This is where most applications are headed nowadays in general, and for a good reason.

Eyes health is not cosmetic. My life changed after moving from Light to Dark Mode. I am committed to switch off as many pixels as possible on my screen. max5637, 17 May 2021, 11:16

I figured out how to use FFS with Google Drive, but looks like it's more complicated to sync it with OneDrive.

I use FFS to make a backup of my files to an external drive with the "Mirror" option, and I'd like to know if by any chance there are any cloud platforms that offer that option as well. I mean to be able to detect which files have been altered/deleted and update the backup without copying ...

Thanks for your opinion JDB. I plan to upgrade to a new HDD like the WD one you mentioned. Perhaps that old Freecom drive has some mild connectivity problem which was the cause of this phenomenon.

The only thing that seems relevant in my case is that the particular hard drive was often connected to an older PC that runs Win XP (SP2, authentic). That PC functions normally though.

No, only with the said ones.

Any other ideas on what might have caused this problem?

I did a Content check between the two HDD's and all files between them are identical. The File Time and Size check however finds 1.940 files that are different because their timstamps have somehow been changed with dates from 2026/2017.
