Re: Creating New Entry Annoyance

Seems that the 21H1 Update solved the problem through a Mandantory Reboot last night. Just checked and it went right to the folder/drive I was last working from and it did not jump to /users/public/documents as it had been doing. Two possibilities as to the cause. 1st is I did not reboot after upgra...

Re: Macrium Reflect 8

Another option that may work better is to have a seperate disk for those macrium backups. It also makes it easier to restore a backup if the main drive dies for any reason (I've had that happen) forcing an emergency replacement.

Re: Show Disk in Overview Panel

Never had that issue myself but do think it's a good idea as more detail is always appreciated even if it were to list d:/film , e:/film so put my vote in for that feature

Creating New Entry Annoyance

Using 11.14 and have a minor annoyance issue with it. Every time I go to add an entry to the job list, it defaults to "/users/public/documents" instead of the drive I was working with. As I just upgraded from 11.8 and don't know if the issue is related to FFS or to Windows 10 Just Realized...

Re: Slow Writes to USB connected SSD

What's AV Software? Haven't used any of that snake oil in years since it's proven to be worse then simply nuking and reinstalling. I've gotten things down to the point a Clean INstall with all of my software only takes about an hour thanks to backup software and the extra time is simply to ensure I ...

Re: Slow Writes to USB connected SSD

Yes I'm comparing the benchmarks using Crystal Disk Mark 6 on drives that were benchmarked on Sata. Same set of tests so I have a known baseline to work from. The issue is that FFS isn't as fast as Windows in copying/transfering files to the same drive (about half as fast) and that has me scratching...

Slow Writes to USB connected SSD

I have a trio of 1TB Sata SSDs I'm using with a USB adapter and all of the drives suffer very poor write speeds under FFS of less then 50MB/s when benchmarks of the drives while on Sata with CDM 6 shows a minimum of 150MB/s. Anyone want to provide thoughts on what is happening as Windows does seem t...

Re: Multiple Drives

Noticed that but would like to see it added as a feature if possible or is it simpler to run multiple copies and have each one work on a specific drive?

Multiple Drives

I know that with Windows I can copy files from One drive to Another and do the same from a different drive to another but don't know if FFS does the same. What I have is multiple drives both internally and externally such as flash drives that I use for various reasons and would like to see FFS do th...
