I was inaccurate earlier about Nirsoft FolderTimeUpdate. It can set the Creation Date AND the Last Modified Date. The Modified Time Options >> no change >> newest modified time >> newest created time >> oldest modified time >> oldest created ...

I tried the Nirsoft FolderTimeUpdate tool mentioned earlier. It worked great and it was pretty quick on about 900 folders. But I have to agree it would be a whole lot better if it worked within FreeFileSync. See: https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/folder_time_update.html ...

Unfortunately FFS does not maintain dates.

For Windows you could try something like, foldertimeupdate.
