Verifying copied files not always working
Hi all, I configured FreeFileSync to always verify the copied files, as it's described in https://freefilesync.org/manual.php?topic=expert-settings. In the past this worked for all synchronisations. But since a few days the verification is only working for 2 of 5 batch jobs using FreeFileSync 10.4 B...

Re: Send email notification
Hi Zenju, I asked for the usage of this new variable, but I didn't get information about this, see https://freefilesync.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5590. Can FreeFileSync now send mail notifications, too? For about more than a year this feature wasn't available. So I have to use the VBS script to get ...

Re: Syncing to folder with different credentials
Hi Plerry, thank you for this detailed answer. Yes, you're right. I'm using FreeFileSync with Windows. I know, that Windows can save the credentials in the credentials manager. I forgot to mention that I'm using a VBS script for running scheduled tasks starting FreeFileSync batch jobs to get a mail ...

Re: Send email notification
Hi all, because of a change in the FFS batch files regarding the tags for log folder you have to replace the search string in the VBS script to find the log folder. If you don't change it you get mail notifications with the following line at the end of the mail "No log file is configured for th...

Syncing to folder with different credentials
Hi all, I want to configure a synchronisation to a destination folder on a system with different credentials. I can configure credentials for FTP and SFTP but is it possible to do this with SMB-based synchronisation destinations, too? And if this is possible, how can I configure it in FreeFileSync? ...

Re: Why the change in logs folder settings with 10.3?
The old batch-specific log folder path has now been turned into an override setting of the global default log path which is available for both gui and batch syncs. (See sync config dialog) Let me know if there are any issues: https://www.mediafire.com/file/oqv2x2e4ut1axdk/FreeFileSync_10.4_%5BBeta%...

How to use new %logfile_path% macro for "on completion" (V10.3)?
Hello all,
what's meant by the new option of FreeFileSync 10.3 "•New %logfile_path% macro for "on completion" " in the change log? How can I use this? What is it doing?
Kind Regards

Re: Why the change in logs folder settings with 10.3?
Hi Zenju, please let the user change the option to set the log path - as it was in the past. It doesn't make sense to write the log files to the user profile path. I want to have saved the logs of my tools in a central path. And since 10.3 the freefilesync.vbs script send mails with warnings because...
