You need to use "automatic" as sync-variant, if you want to propagate
deletions. I assume you're using "two-way" at the moment.

What is the exact directory type you're dealing with? Is it a symbolic link, a
hard link, an NTFS junction point or something else?

Could you give some description about how to reproduce this behavior?

For "advertising" purposes at most. Generally I consider these options as too specific as to bother "casual" user with them. Also the default settings are both safe and should suffice for most situations. PS: It's both available in *.ffs_batch and *.ffs_gui, not just the first one.

No, they're not on GUI. Which reminds me: I should add some description to
readme.txt as handling these options is not really intuitive.

That's required by the Windows VSS API. However (at least if security is not a
concern) I'd suggest to edit shortcut settings to start FFS with admin rights
per default, this saves a few clicks.

Technically this is possible for sure. But I think the main point here is a
tradeoff between usability and functionality.
Main question is: Is there a way to integrate this functionality in a lean way
without degrading overall usability, i.e. is it worth an extra
checkbox/button?

Is /usr/lib/ part of the PATH variable? If so, I could simplify steps 5 and 6
by first looking if its possible to load the resources without specifying a
path and only if it fails try to load it from the executable directory.

I just tested it on a brand new Seven 64-Bit system and can confirm..... it
doesn't work ;) (yet!)

For v3.2 I plan to create a native Windows Seven 64-Bit version. Thereby I'll
also build a native version of shadow.dll.

Currently that's not possible. So you'd need a distinct folder on target drive
for each camera to avoid these name collisions.
