Re: Copy DACL, SACL, Owner, Group ...
When checking all files and folders for changed DACL, SACL, Owner, Group takes too long time, maybe it's useful to handle it similar robocopy. Make an aditional switch for checking all files. In normal way only the copied files and folders, with the additional switch for all files and folders, users...

Symlinks are copied (when in the FFS Main-Dialog it is set to yes) allthough in the GlobalSettings is set to false.
The GlobalSettings.xml doesn't overwrite this.

NTFS-permissions doesn't work on the base-dir.
Example:
source: c:\sourcedir\doc mirror to s:\dest-dir\doc
The folder doc in the destination get not the NTF-Permissions of the source doc folder.

new internal macro %basedir% which contains the respective source-directorys.
when adding this macro to the versioning-path, it is posible to have the full path in the versioning-folder.
Example:
S:\versioningpath\%date%\%basedir%

Re: FFS 64bit Failure on Server 2008 - Important
i can't overlook any side effects, i'm not a programmer.
This Server is too important for experiments.
So i decided to make more separate ffs-tasks.
Who is the limit? The RAM who uses FFS? (4GB-Limit), other?
Are there problems expected, when FFS 32bit using VSS, etc...
Thank you.

Hello Zenju, i have a Problem with FreeFileSync, installed on a Server 2008 (standard) (not R2). FreefileSync starts only in 32bit! Hello,
thank you for your replay, i know this solution, but it is not a ellegant solution, because when you have more such same folder/files, its not easy to find out from which basic-folder it comes.

Do you use ffs with copy locked files? Problems with VSS or AntiVirus Software?
I had this Problems with a Version of G DATA. It had blocked all IOs an the Harddisk, so ffs hangs also. Only a hard-reboot was helping. In my case - G DATA removed and all good.
