Re: Sync question in MacOS
I solved this problem, and for the benefit of other new Mac users like me, here's what I did: I added my MacBook Air to the login items of my iMac. The only caution here is that I need to boot the Macbook Air before I boot the iMac so the mount can be accessed. Then the FFS on my iMac sees the MacBo...

Sync question in MacOS
I’ve recently gone from Windows 10 computers to a Mac environment. I’m trying to set up syncing folders and files between an iMac and a MacBook Air. When I shut down both devices and start them again, and try to sync to the Macbook Air over my home network, FFS shows me the attached message. I have ...

Cannot delete configuration name
I inadvertently messed up creating a configuration, and now I cannot delete it. When I click on it, I get a window with error 2 (see attached). I'm then prevented from altering the paths and otherwise touching the entry. I'm working in Mac. How do I delete it?

Re: Location on hard drive of backup configurations
You should/must choose the folder location best for you when saving your configuration/sync job and you should give it also a name: - from the toolbar Configuration using Save or Save as... - from the menu File Oops. Yeah, I had forgotten about that. I deleted all my jobs and started over again, th...

Re: Location on hard drive of backup configurations
There isn't a default configurations (sync job and batch job) location, you can save them where you want and FFS will list them anyway, as you have already discovered. Thanks, Gianni1962. If I create a sync job and do nothing on its placement, where would I find it on my hard drive? And wouldn't th...

Location on hard drive of backup configurations
When I create a new backup configuration, I've found some of them in C:\Users\[My User Name]\Documents as .ffs_gui files. However, I've noticed that some backup configurations listed in the FFS user interface don't appear in this expected location (C:\Users\[My User Name]\Documents). They work just ...

Change "show summary" to "exit"
I'd like to change all my configurations from "show summary" to "exit." Is there anywhere else I can do that besides while the configuration is running? I find nothing on this setting in comparison, filter, or synchronization settings.

Same interface Windows and Mac?
I'm currently using FFS in Windows 10. Is the interface the same in Mac? That is, in Mac is there a Window that appears with configuration settings on the left, saved configurations listed below that heading, and compare and synchronize headings on the right?

Re: Path to iCloud Drive?
Not sure I understand what you're saying here. Nevertheless, I see that one can't obtain the server name or IP address for one's iCloud account, so I guess FFS cannot back up to iCloud--not directly, anyway.

Now that I've found them, how do I move them to their own directory? Backing them up this way would be easier.
