Re: Why is 1 file wanting to be deleted from the Source?
FFS 12.5 shows the same, so you might be right. (Which would then also likely mean that something else is going on in that other thread.) Maybe it's a race (not exactly the right word, but...) condition. An existing x.ffs_tmp wants to be create a file named x.ffs_tmp, but it already exists. So you w...

Re: Two-way sync does not detect/remebmer deleted files
(I'm not really understanding the SFTP / .db part of things, as in why if you delete a file on the target end, it simply is not then deleted on the source, but...) Are you able to create a Custom sync method that mimics Two Way, but without using the database (which Two Way does), would that then wo...

Re: A New Option For When to Update or Not Update Files
It always copies the newer over the older dated file EVEN IF THEY ARE THE SAME. Now this is different (potentially). If your Compare is Time & Size, & if the source is newer - & even if the size & content are the same, then yes, it will copy source to target. A Content compare would...

Re: A New Option For When to Update or Not Update Files
What I DON'T LIKE ABOUT FFS is that it keeps updating the date on files. That should not be. Set up a simple sync of a few files from say c:/tmp/ to c:/new/. Are the file date/time different between the to directories. Do the same with your NAS. Are the file date/time different between (say) c:/tmp...

(My end says, PCI-Express 3.0 (8 GT/s).
I don't have (external) NVMe nor USB-C.
I do have, "supposedly", USB 3, of some sort, & a "flash" drive.
I get nowhere near 1 GB/s transfers ;-).)

Re: coflicts when real and sort order seems to be canged
I believe the reason for your errors is that you have overlapping directories between the 2 pairs. Likewise, as you are running a single .ffs_real, it is expecting that all your listed drives are available (at the same time). If you were to set up 2 separate .ffs_real's, & have them both running...

Re: coflicts when real and sort order seems to be canged
(In the .ffs_real, it looks like all the source directories are listed, first, followed by all the associated corresponding pair directories.
So in that respect your .ffs_real would be correct.)

Have you had earlier versions of FFS running successfully (so prior to 13.0)?
Do you have UAC disabled?
What are system requirements for FFS?
Might you be missing a "package" like .NET that might be needed?

Re: Where does the exported file list go?
(I've never used it.) Given that there is no other way to get/save said data, regardless of usefulness, there is something to be said about getting to some point in an operation (like after a scan completes) & being able to save the "state" of operations up to that point. Granted, you ...

Re: saving the license key for use offline
I don't think it is any of that (which you are describing). Simply that the licensing is in part computed & verified (locally ?) based upon the MAC address. (That is not atypical. Other softwares may use a HDD's volume serial number, or a combination of both...) (Now, I think ? FFS also keeps a ...

Re: Files unreadable after sync
Take a small sample file, say a .jpg. Copy that to the SSD using FFS. Does that file open? If not, compare the source & the copy. At the least, open the file in notepad (or similar) & look at the beginning of the two files. Do they appear to be the same? Most likely, the files will have &quo...

says the job will take 30 days Obviously that cannot be correct (hopefully). while FFS was running, I was unable to start any other apps I'd be more concerned about that, why that was the case? What was CPU usage during this time? Pick a sampling of files & let FFS copy them to the external dri...

Re: Unable to access network shares in Linux
In the Windows version of FFS I can access the network shares via the UNC Path. e.g. \\nas\share1 (From my take, & not that I know, but) it appears that in Linux you would use an ip-address rather then "NAS"? So maybe \\192.168.2.1\rosede ? (And of course, the IP & name would need...

If I launch manually from FreeFileSync User Interface just after, it is ok. When you do that, are you asked to provide username/password to the NAS, or does it "just work"? Does a (Windows) Scheduled Task (already) contain the username/password, or is it "expected" that one is a...

Re: Where does the exported file list go?
There really needs to be a way - but there is not, to Save the .csv. As it is, the file is written to a temporary directory (like %TMP%/FFS-guid/ on Windows, perhaps ~tmp or /tmp on Linux?). Further, the file only exists so long as FFS remains open. (As in, when FFS closes, the file is purged [autom...

Curious.
If you run HOSTNAME from a C: prompt, does that show ASUS-VIVIOBOOK-S14 or ASUS-VIVIOBOOK- ?
C:\> HOSTNAME
(Seems the maximum length can be >15, but certain features, like NETBIOS may not work as expect with longer length names.)

Make sure you actually unpack the ZIP to a place you have access to. (As in, do not run the setup.exe directly from "within" the ZIP.) (There should be both the installer.exe & the .key file.) Test the ZIP to see if makes mention of any errors. (I assume ? Windows can do that, but don'...

I believe he's saying to run 10.22 (available here, https://freefilesync.org/archive.php). Then after that, install 13.1. 10.22 should convert your configuration files such that they should then work in 13.1. I'd make backups (of your FFS files) along each step of the way. What version of FFS?
(I would not think 200MB to be particularly "big".)
Might also be related, FTPS error CURLE_PARTIAL_FILE and Google error CURLE_OPERATION_TIMEDOUT?
Any idea of connection/transfer speed?
