I believe that this is a bug. I have spent a lot of time without success.
• When using FFS/RTS on a Google Drive folder that contains some files that are made available offline (kept locally) the Windows FFS works pretty well. The Mac doe not.
• When FFS does a Compare on a Windows machine, no lock file or db file is added to the folder.
• Just pressing Compare on a Mac causes Google to put a lock file in the cloud and on the desktop. It is then moved to trash if no further action is started. This means that when using RTS, every 10 sec, Google uploads the lock file and deletes it. Therefore there is almost continuous cloud access even though there has not been any changes to the data in the folder.
• The Windows computer only adds a special file when a file has changed. It correctly backs up the changed file.
• I have tried all the filters that are suggested to stop syncing the special files and no help.
