Hi
Please excuse if this has already been asked, but I am having serious issues with syncing my desktop / laptop / NAS. It looks like the paths + filenames are too long, but FFS shows no error and all it does is not show the files that need to be synced.
For ages i thought that I was making copies and backing up my file folders, but it seems that I'm missing syncing something like 3000 files! yikes!
I appreciate that windows does have a path/filename length limit, but usually when attemting to copy with File Manager it shows an error. The error doesn't show with FFS which is actually really scary. I have been recommending it to loads of people over the years, but I now have to go back to them to tell them to watch out for this major issue. I have seen claims that FFS is not limited by the path/file length, but that seems not to be the case!
Is there anything to be done?

Do you have some information that indicates this is a FFS rather than a Windows/network/driver issue?

Well, I suppose it IS a windows issue, but the problem is that FFS doesn't give an error message - unlike a copy in File manager. And I'm sure I read somewhere that FFS was not limited by the windows file length limitation. if it did give an error message, at least I would know to use a different method.
I'm not using any specific network or windows drivers, so it's a pretty standard setup.

If FFS didn't give an error indication this means that the operating system calls did not give any error indication. They OTOH called the file system drivers, which seem to be buggy in your case, if they incorrectly report success. BTW which version of FFS are you using?
