In my Lightroom application I have two preview file folders that I don't want to be synchronized with the destination folder (Lightroom Previews.lrdata and Lightroom.lrdata). These folders can have more than 200,000 files that take more than 20 minutes to perform the scan, and 25 more for synchronization. I have tried to put it as excluded files but although it does not synchronize them, the scan does the same, taking the same time of 25 minutes. I have also excluded the folders it contains but they are still scanned and synchronized. How can I do so that these folders are not included in the initial scanning operation, so as not to take so long to synchronize?

You are most likely missing something in the filters. Can you post a screenshot of your filters?

Put stars in front of the filters:
"*\Lightroom\Lightroom Previews.lrdata\"
"*\Lightroom\Lightroom.lrdata\"

Without the star, it will filter those as if they residing in the root of the D:\ drive, which they aren't

Tried it

Exclude: */Users/stephen/Library/

but still get:

"Cannot open directory "/Users/stephen/Library/Saved Application State/com.yourcompany.StellarPhoenixMacDataRecovery.savedState".
EACCES: Permission denied [opendir]"

e.g. still scans all directories, even though it may not copy them

Better way, let it scan and display the compare results. In the bottom left corner, expand the subtrees. Right-click the 'Library' folder and hover over exclude. It will give you two options, but should work the same for what you want, but the one without the star is probably a better option for this.
