I like the tool very mutch,
I like to lauch an idea, this would make it perfect.
I now using the mirror function with versioning.
So changed and deleted files are stored in a new directory with same structure.
It would be nice to have the following.
1/ First run makes a copy and set all to write protected, hence give a frist line of protection for malicious or non-malicious items delete or change.
2/ next run, added files or changed files comes into a verioning folder and again set to write protect. Question what about deleted files in the source directory?
Recovery would need a tool to reconstruct the latest mirror. But one can always take the correct files manually.
Second as this structure idea is write protected and will never change this system can be used in a WORM setup.
A second idea is to implement a ZIP possibility. Make zips starting from a given folder level dept, but keep the overall folder structure.

Simply create dedicated user credentials, e.g. a "FFSsync" user, for running your FFS syncs.
That FFSsync user is the only user that has read+write access to your sync's destination/right-side location and all of its subdirectories, plus to your Versioning location.
All other users have at most read-only access to said locations.
