That's sad, it would be very interesting to know what was not intuitive for
you.
>animate the tray icon
When in tray mode RTS only has one status, that is "monitoring". Having an
animation permanently although there is no "information" in it could distract
users from their other tasks. But a tool tip is no problem.

1. Honestly, I dont know, it could have just been a lack of sleep at the time
2. I mean't animate the icon once it detected a change, then stop as soon as the external process completed the task.
3. The tooltip is a good plan.

An idea how to improve the UI of FFS:
When one right-clicks the FFS icon in systray it shows a small menu with two choices: "Restore" and "Quit". The "Quit" is OK, but the "Restore" is a bit misleading. The "Restore" actually stops the active monitoring mode and switches to setup/configuration mode. I think that instead of "Restore" it should say something like "Configure", "Settings", "Configuration", "Monitoring settings", "Monitoring configuration", etc.

Indeed, "Configure" is probably more clear. When one right-clicks the FFS icon in systray it shows a small menu with two choices: "Restore" and "Quit". The "Quit" is OK, but the "Restore" is a bit misleading. tonibony, 17 Mar 2019, 09:19
