Change the comparison & sync for an existing confiruration

I created a synchronization job for 2 folders & used the file content option. I would like to change it so that it always compares & syncs using date & time. I know that I can delete the job & recreate it, but is there a way to modify the existing job permanently?

If I change it temporarily, by choosing the gear icon for comparing, there doesn't seem to be an option to save it.

There is a "Save" button in the top left of the window above the list of your saved configurations. It's greyed out until you change something in the configuration. You can also use Ctrl+S.

Thank you for your reply. I had actually tried that, by changing the compare from "content" to "file time & size", but was confused because the synchronization took just as long. I had forgotten that the synchronization time is independent from compare time.
