Newby here: awesome tool! Knocks the spots off SyncToy.

Q: I will be syncronizing with a removable drive which is encrypted using Bitlocker under Windows 7 Ultimate.
Will FreeFileSync handle this the same as if the drive was not encrypted?

(I've searched for an answer but not found any reference to Bitlocker)

Thanks

If Bitlocker presents itself to the operating system as a regular volume, which I presume, then there is no reason this should not work.

Yes, thinking about it logically, Windows should present the filesystem the same way to most applications. The only gotcha would be performance. The "Compare" should use timestamp and filesize, not file contents, otherwise huge amounts of decryption would surely be involved.

I'll try it and let you know - but it will take a couple of days to encrypt 900+Gb!
