Hi,
I'm a newbie and feel like I'm struggling with something simple!
I'm using ffs 5.9 on windows 7 64bit.
I've compared two folders on separate drives. Initially I could view the folder structures and contents. When I clicked compare a second time I got the message "folders are synced" and I could no longer see any files or folders (why is this?). I then changed the folder on the right side, clicked compare and also got "folders are synced" with no view of the files/folders..... I know this isn't right as I can use explorer to see that these two folders are completely different. I have NOT at any point clicked sync.
I don't understand...... - is this a bug or am I completely misunderstanding how this programme works?
Any help appreciated. Thanks

Have a look at the view filters at the bottom and click "=".

Hi,
Thanks for that - it didn't solve the problem but was useful info... having left the machine for an hour and returned and compared again my files are now in view...! - don't know what happened there, hopefully it won't happen again!
Can I ask what the percentage bars on the left side in overview are? (this isn't in the help). In the top folder I have a 93% blue bar with two sub folders one says 40% and is green, the other says 60% and is green.
Thanks

I can't tell you what the colors are about, but the percentage tells you how much space every folder consumes (that is all files in this folder and in it's subfolders) in comparison to other folders of the same level. For example, the 40% and 60% folders tell you that of the space that the parent folder consumes, 40% are taken by the one and 60% by the other folder. The parent folder consumes 93% of it's parent respectively in your case of your current sychronization job. There have to be one or more other folders that account for the remaining 7% of your sync job.
Edit: the 7% could be used by files in the root of your sync directory, too.

The color represents the level within the directory hierarchy; each level has its own color, repeating after 12 levels.
