Would it be worth developing a new feature that does exactly what the title says?
Meaning: in case the file size is the same, and the file creation/modification dates/times are not, just synchronize the dates/times.
Usecase: I've copied all my pictures from one phone to another. I couldn't use the phones utilities for that because they are not of the same brand. I've found myself with some pictures with the modified date of "today" instead of the orifinal modified date.
Thougths?

The fact that the size is of a left- and right-side file is the same ("correct" in your terms) does not necessarily mean the content is the same.
Obviously this even holds for files that have an identical date/time, but is much more likely if the date/time differs.
Therefore it is dangerous to build this into FFS as its fixed behavior.
Making it a non-default selectable option would obviously be possible, but there are many comparable (optional) feature suggestions. If all implemented, the user would likely drown in options and no longer see the forest for the trees.
