Files Not Synching

This is odd to me. I get an error something like - can't synch, both files have changed since last time. Sometimes, it says the file sizes have changed. The odd thing is that the destination files have not been opened in 12 months or more. It started with a couple of large PowerPoint files. I am more curious about what the heck is happening. Is it going to get worse?

It is not necessarily you (yourself) that opened or modified a file.
Some software tools (like e.g. some anti-virus programs) have the nasty habit of doing that for you ... ;-)

@HBoyter, you should provide more info about the 2 locations of the sync. (E.g. are they both on disk? are they on network, sharepoint, ftp, etc)
If you are convinced the date/size did not change, test this with another method (outside FFS).
Also do a bitwise comparison of the files.
