Hi All,

Having a play with Free file Sync to move the files one way from Folder A to Folder B.
Is there a way to adjust free file sync to only sync the file from Folder A when not in use by other programs?
I am currently getting a various copies in the versioning folder,

Thanks in advance

These are two unrelated "issues".

If, during a sync, a file that is to be synced turns out to be locked, syncing that file is skipped.
Such event is logged in the FFS log-file.
For Windows, there is however the option of Volume Shadow Copy.

When using Versioning in FFS, a pre-existing file that is deleted or overwritten by a sync will be moved to the Versioning location. Locked files are not synced, therefore any such file is neither deleted nor overwritten, and thus its pre-existing version not moved to the Versioning location.
Files are only Versioned at times that syncing a file is successful.
If you have multiple versions of a file in your Versioning location, it must be the result of your FFS Versioning settings. In your Versioning settings, you can set to keep as many versions as you select for as long as you select.
